What Is Carryover?
Water droplets or persistent foam can leave the boiler with steam. Delivered steam becomes wetter, affecting process heating.
Conditions to Review
High dissolved solids, unstable water levels, sudden demand changes and contaminated condensate can contribute. Review water test results and operating records together.
Treat the Cause
A steam separator can remove some droplets but does not correct boiler water or load problems. Water treatment, blowdown and level control need assessment for the actual installation.
